This page contains guidelines regarding accessibility of the website https://www.sodercan.es/. SODERCAN seeks to facilitate the accessibility of its contents for all its users, in accordance with the latest regulations (Royal Decree 1112/2018).

 

In addition, according to regulations, websites of public entities, as is the case, must comply with the accessibility guidelines of the UNE 139803:2012 standard and with the AA level verification precepts of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Both issues are taken into account in managing the accessibility of this website.

 

SODERCAN has carried out an exhaustive revision and modification of the site to meet current regulations, including those which, according to Articles 7.1 and 7.6 (BOE-A-2018-12699), represent a disproportionate burden. These issues include those involving the internal modification of code provided by third parties and whose impact on accessibility is not significant.

 

The measures taken for the adaptation of the website include:

 

  • The use of alternative text for images to ensure a correct alternative to those who cannot access graphic content.
  • The correct structuring of webpages according to established standards, including the correct use of markup tags.
  • The use of a legible font size and with a correct contrast to its background.
  • The positioning of content through the use of CSS style sheets, looking for compatibility between browsers and the adequate structure of different webpages.

 

Regarding non-accessible content, the measures include:

 

  • Maps, for which an alternative text lists with their corresponding data.
  • Elements of semantics as far as code is concerned, which generate errors in validation tools, but do not limit access to the content of the different pages.

 

In addition, the fonts used have relative dimensions, which allows you to control the font size using your browser. The way to customise the font depends on the type of browser with options provided in the menu.

To change the text size, use the browser controls:

  • Firefox: On the menu bar, select View > Zoom Only on Text, and select Increase or Decrease from the same menu. Only the size of the text changes, while the other elements on the page remain the same. If you want to change all elements on the page, deselect Zoom Only in Text and select View > Zoom or Decrease. Select Reset to return the view to its original size.
  • Safari: From the menu bar, select View > Zoom In/Zoom Out Text Only, and select Zoom In or Out from the same menu.
