Equality policy

The Management of SODERCAN, in line with its commitment to excellence, organisational sustainability, and the strategic management of talent, declares its firm commitment to the effective equality between women and men as a core value in its corporate culture.

Equal treatment and equal opportunity constitute a core principle and strategic factor in business competitiveness, fully integrated into all our management policies and practices. This commitment is based on Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, for the effective equality of women and men, as well as on Royal Decree 901/2020 on equality plans and their registration, and Royal Decree 902/2020 on equal pay.

At SODERCAN, we are working to create an inclusive, equitable work environment free from any form of gender discrimination, direct or indirect. This principle applies transversally to all areas of the organisation: from recruitment, training, and professional promotion processes to remuneration policy, occupational health and safety, work schedules, work-life balance and shared responsibilities, as well as the prevention of and action on sexual harassment and harassment on the basis of gender.

We believe in real and effective equality, paying special attention to the elimination of indirect discrimination, understood as any situation in which an apparently neutral provision, criterion, or practice may place individuals of one gender at a particular disadvantage in comparison with those of another.

We also promote internal and external communication in line with these values, projecting a corporate image that is modern, respectful and aligned with the principles of diversity and equal opportunity.

This commitment is materialised in the design, implementation and monitoring of our III Equality Plan, a strategic tool for talent management, an optimum workplace environment, the retention of key personnel, and the promotion of innovation through diverse and balanced teams.
