The Blue Point project seeks to address the issue of marine plastics and turn it into an opportunity to achieve a Blue Circular Economy in the regions of Gipuzkoa, Cantabria, Asturias, Portugal, France, and Ireland.

The objective of the project is to create an ecosystem of multiple interested parties in cooperation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and internationalization that leverages the marine plastics value chain and emerging business opportunities to establish a replicable circular economy model in the Atlantic region. This will reduce the environmental impact of marine plastics, create new business opportunities (including the acceleration of around 25 companies), and drive the maritime sector towards a blue circular economy.

The project will last for 32 months.
