The Government of Cantabria, through the Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade and SODERCAN, is launching the I Internationalisation Plan of Cantabria 2025–2028 to strengthen our industry and boost its international presence as a key factor in competitiveness.
With this plan, the aim is to boost Cantabrian exports, increase the number of exporting companies and expand the geographical scope of our exports.
To achieve this, we have conducted an in-depth analysis of Cantabria’s export and industrial situation and defined the strategic lines and specific actions necessary to meet our objectives.
One of our priorities is to consolidate the Cantabria-Spain brand and to develop key strategic sectors such as metalworking, agri-food, new information technologies (ICT) and other industrial sectors with export potential.
The I Internationalisation Plan is a tool which, over the coming years, will drive economic growth, foster the incorporation of new talent into key sectors, boost innovation and digitalisation, strengthen the initiatives of experienced exporting companies while bringing to the region new SMEs with export potential.
Expansion into international markets is essential to creating a solid and productive industrial sector providing high quality employment. The Internationalisation Plan is a response to the challenges of globalisation and creates the conditions for Cantabrian companies to be stronger and more competitive.
The internationalisation of Cantabrian companies is an essential factor in building prosperity in the region and this plan sets out the path to achieve this.
