As part of the First Internationalisation Plan of Cantabria 2025-2028, the strategic objective of SODERCAN is to boost the export capacity of the region, specifically through the consolidation and increase of exports in key sectors, by providing customised support for companies exploring international markets.
The support takes into account the specific circumstances of the company and provides accurate, practical and actionable information which is tailored to the realities of the global market.
To this end, SODERCAN is launching two services to reinforce the customised support offered to Cantabrian companies which currently have no export activity or very limited and occasional exports.
ASSESSMENT OF EXPORT CAPACITY
SODERCAN provides customised support to Cantabrian companies which do not currently export or do so only occasionally. Customised support is provided by an experienced professional with expertise in internationalisation.
The professional will conduct a diagnostic of the specific circumstances of the company and develop a concrete and realistic action plan designed to enhance the export capacity of the company, address the risks and challenges inherent to entering international markets.

ACCESS
EXPORT CANTABRIA SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL
SODERCAN offers a digital self-assessment tool to Cantabrian companies with no prior export experience. This tool can help companies identify their strengths and weaknesses in approaching international markets and to determine if they are prepared to undertake an internationalisation process.
The digital tool, which provides clear statistical data on export flows for better decision-making, choses from among 8,000 6-digit TARIC/HS codes and company profiles to identify which countries have the greatest potential and why.
The tool is especially useful for analysing the current situation of a company and where it wants to be in the future, helping to lay the groundwork and set out the steps necessary to successfully undertake an internationalisation program.
Companies are provided with a snapshot of their real situation with regards to international markets, offering valuable insights for effective decision-making within the global marketplace.
