The Enterprise Europe Network consists of nearly 600 organizations in over 40 countries that, from a local perspective, promote innovation and competitiveness among European businesses, making it the largest network providing information and advice to businesses on European matters.
The services are designed with SMEs in mind, but they also target all businesses and technology centers. Galactea-Plus is the name of the consortium that covers the northwest of Spain, specifically the autonomous communities of Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León, and Galicia.
In Cantabria, the project is managed by three organizations: CAMARA DE COMERCIO DE CANTABRIA, SODERCAN, and CEOE – CEPYME.

In this new period, a personalized service will be offered to companies, starting with the detection of needs related to increasing international competitiveness—services in digitalization, innovation, internationalization, and circular economy—and the creation of an “ad hoc” action plan that will serve as a roadmap for supporting the company in its journey towards international growth.
Actions
Activity 1: Value-added services to clients.
Advisory services to clients in the following areas:
- Sustainability: Sustainability services, conducting diagnostics aimed at implementing energy efficiency plans, waste utilization and recycling, etc. Access to funding, joint activities, EU ecolabel certifications, etc.
- Internationalization and Single Market: Support for companies in accessing new markets, partnership processes, etc. Opportunities for business cooperation (dissemination of business profiles, search for business partners, receipt of cooperation requests)
- Innovation: In Cantabria, SODERCAN is primarily responsible for promoting the participation of SMEs in European consortia with project proposals for various Horizon Europe calls (including those under the “European Innovation Council”), as well as promoting internationalization through searches for commercial cooperation opportunities and support for market access (instrumented through specific EU tools available to the Network).
- Access to European funding (linked to Horizon Europe, EIC Accelerator, and international scaling services)
Activity 2: Partnership services to clients.
The goal is to help network clients establish cooperation agreements: commercial, technological, and R&D activities by achieving partnership agreements between Cantabrian entities and other network member countries.
